Position Summary
Under the direction of and in coordination with the Vice President of Surgical Services, the Director of Trauma Programs and Surgical Services will provide direction, leadership, and administrative supervision of the managers within trauma and surgical services.
- Responsible for the overall strategic development, operational activities, clinical quality and financial results of the Trauma Program and Surgical Services division of Yale-New Haven Hospital.
- Ensures effective utilization of financial, material and human resources of the division, including appropriate patient flow throughout the continuum of care.
- Promotes and ensures compliance with all regulatory and accreditation requirements, including environmental and patient safety and clinical quality standards.
- Establishes and maintains effective relationships with key constituents, including patients, community physicians, Yale University School of Medicine faculty and other providers.
Experience
Candidates must have at least 10 years of APP experience, as well as leadership experience.
Education
A master’s degree is required.
Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program required.
Special consideration will be given to candidates who also have MD degree training.
